Here are some of your recent questions for Adonal...

Michael in Germany asks...
1. Who is your favorite basketball player?
[Adonal] I never had a true role model but I learn from observing many players, including Charles Barkley and Moses Malone.

2. What was your best match for the Warriors?
[Adonal] Playing against Detroit last year (April 4, 2001) - I scored 20 points!

3. When will you come to Germany?
[Adonal] Hopefully next summer - is it a fun place to visit?

John asks...
How hard do you find it to deal with fans night in and night out as you travel around America?
[Adonal] They are just trying to get to know you, however sometimes when you are in a bad place emotionally it can get a little difficult because fans expect you to be happy all the time, and it is simply not possible.

Bob in Oakland, CA asks...
From where do you get your shoes? I know a lot of players have shoe deals, but do the players who don't have deals buy their shoes in a store or do they get them from the team? What kind do you wear?
[Adonal] I wear Nikes, and every player in the League gets their shoes from one company or another. In terms of non-basketball shoes, I get mine from Rochester Big & Tall and Avventura.

Glen in Sunnyvale, CA asks...
Why is it that you can block more shots than most in the NBA, especially since you're considered undersized for the center position? Do you study other centers' moves on tape to help your defensive anticipation?
[Adonal] One of the first rules in shot blocking is "not being afraid to get dunked on." Most people have bad timing because they are afraid to be dunked on!

Ajay in San Jose, CA asks...
Do you like to be on the Warriors or do you want to move to a different team?
[Adonal] I will like being on the Warriors if and only if they see me as a part of the Warriors' future, and if the latter statement is an affirmative then I will need to be treated accordingly. By that I mean that I need to play on both ends (offensively as well as defensively) of the floor. I need to play more and they need to trust me as a player. If this is not the commitment they have in mind, then I do not want to continue as a Warrior, and would want to be traded.

Michael in Hercules, CA asks...
About your free throws...did you turn down Rick Barry after he offered to help you?
[Adonal] No I did not, it is just impossible to take and learn a shot in the middle of the season. I will re-visit that offer in the summer.

Terence asks...
Do you think Brian Winters is a better head coach than Dave Cowans?
[Adonal] It is hard to tell - coaches are not perfect, and they all have their own style.
